ever heard of a medicine called kava?

i heard this kava thingy its a plant grown in tropical places and is really natural and safe to use. it reduces anxiety which is just what i need. it doesnt have any major side effects too so i think its okay to use. i just have a problem with getting nervous and having shaking hands in some situations so i was wondering if this was something i could use. what do u guys think? good idea?
btw, its also okay to use for any age and im 15. so what do u guys think?

I know a girl who took it while she was getting divorced and it caused liver failure. She spent 5 months in the hospital and now has to use a feeding tube(I think that's what it is). Not a good idea.
