Does tea help in any way?
I've got awful period pains this morning and I've got classes. I don't have any painkillers so should I take some of the mint tea? I've got mint and nettle tea, mint and eucalyptus and just pure peppermint tea. I also have ginger tea. Will it help?

It will be tasty & soothing...but sadly that is the end of it. You might want to consider bumming a painkiller from a friend at school.
This won't help for at school but a nice hot bath will help. Curling up on your left side for a while will also make them subside.
Believe it or not....but stretching & exercise can relieve some period pain. If you use tampons you might also want to try pads. Your uterus cramping is due to your muscles contracting trying to expel the yuck. Stretching, crunches, & walking will help it loosen up & hurt less.
Also, (I hope you aren't easily offended) most people won't mention this...because it makes them all embarrassed about their own bodies.. but a clitoral orgasm (nothing internal; that will only irritate the vaginal lining) will also do wonders to help your cramps go away.
Sex Ed in school really is a joke. It will do absolutely nothing for helping you understand your body & how to deal with it. I highly suggest sitting down & start looking up a few things for yourself.
